When we lived in the mountains of Colorado, it was just gorgeous but we rarely saw any clouds in the sky. It was always sunny.
The first thing I remarked on when we moved to the Cape were the beautiful clouds. Every day is different and every sky is different.
I never get sick of this view of Nauset Marsh looking out toward Coast Guard Station from Fort Hill. I love the clouds along the horizon over the water.
We were driving out of the upper parking lot at Fort Hill the other day when Phil said,” What’s that up in that tree?” It looked like a white buoy or plastic bag stuck up there.
But, as we got closer, I realized that it was a Red-tailed Hawk perched way up on top of the tree. It looked almost like an ornament on top of a Christmas tree. How beautiful…
Yesterday morning was just spectacular at Fort Hill. Phil and I decided to each take a photograph and then compare. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
He zoomed in (2nd photograph) and focused on the morning yellowish colors while I zoomed out an focused on the sky and the other colors.
It’s really amazing that you can get two totally different photographs from the same view and taken from the same spot.
Yesterday morning was pretty chilly at Fort Hill. The wind was howling and you could feel the car shake. I took this photograph through the window as I didn’t want to get out of the warm car. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
You can see the temps and wind chill in the 2nd photo. Brrrr…
This was such a pretty view looking out over Nauset Marsh toward Coast Guard Station from Fort Hill. You can see the sun trying to peek out above the clouds.
