The Blue Chicory Wildflowers Are Still Blooming On Cape Cod.

You can still see the beautiful deep blue Chicory wildflowers blooming along the roads,  trails and out in the meadows. I took this photograph at Fort Hill.

A couple of interesting facts: The stemless flowers grow right on the stalk and each flower lasts only one day. I love the delicate stamen and pistils in the center.

Chicory blooms through October so you still have time to see it.

Little Cliff Pond In Brewster On Cape Cod.

The Little Cliff Pond Trail at Nickerson State Park is a wonderful hike for the whole family. There is a little bit of everything! I love these two views from the trail around Little Cliff Pond. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

What do you think? Have you ever hiked this trail?

Stormy Morning At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

We were surprised to wake up to rain falling last Saturday morning, but decided to take a ride up to Fort Hill anyway. Three kayakers paddled by, unscathed by the cool, rainy weather. That sure is dedication!

All of a sudden the sun peeked out for just a minute, so Phil and I clicked away. He took a black and white photograph and I took one in color. What do you think?
