Sandbar…Just For A Bit At Rock Harbor On Cape Cod.

When it’s low tide on the bay side of Cape Cod, the tide swings are just amazing. It feels like you can walk out for miles. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

I was on the Eastham side of Rock Harbor, enjoying a nice walk on the beach when this family on the sandbar caught my eye. They were having such a good time.

And then when I looked back over 5 minutes later, they were gone as was almost the entire sandbar.

Proud Papa Baltimore Oriole With His Brood On Cape Cod.

Our yard has been so inundated with baby birds, it’s been amazing! We’ve had baby Baltimore Orioles, Bluebirds, Downy Woodpeckers,  Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Titmice, Cardinals, Finches, Hairy Woodpeckers, and more. They are everywhere and are so cute!

I loved this photograph of this proud papa with two of his young ones…

Pretty Yellow Celandine Wildflowers Are Blooming On Cape Cod.

The bright yellow Celandine wildflowers are blooming all along the trails on Cape Cod. These are a small, 4-petal flower with very prominent pistil and stamens.

Pretty wildflower, don’t you think? Celandine blooms from May to July, so you still have time to see them! I saw these along the trails at Fort Hill.

Some Cool Bike Pics At Fort Hill On Cape Cod.

It was a stormy morning at Fort Hill, but the rain had stopped for a bit and someone rode their bike up the hill and parked it at the National Seashore sign. (Click on blog link for other photos.)

We took a few photographs and then started playing around with them.

And then we couldn’t decide which one we liked best… what do you think?
