Yesterday was one of the nicest days that we’ve had here on Cape Cod in a while. The temperatures were in the low 50s with the sun shining and a slight breeze. It was a beautiful day for a walk on Coast Guard Beach… or any beach!
I love the reflection of the sun on the water and the silhouette of the surfer. The sparkly water looks almost pinkish. Just gorgeous…
I saw my first Wild Hyacinth blooming yesterday. It was so pretty adding a touch of purple to the landscape. They only grow to about 4″ tall so they are fairly small, but many times they are so prolific that they look like a purple carpet on the grass. Have you seen any yet this season?
Whether it’s summer or winter, spring or fall, morning or nighttime, sunny or stormy, White Crest Beach in Wellfleet is always breath-taking! Just to stand at the top by the parking lot and look down to the beach is just amazing.
Have you ever been to White Crest Beach? So many memories… White Crest is where Phil first took me surfing in the 90s…
I love the walk from Doane Rock to Coast Guard Beach, especially the little trail that goes right by Nauset Marsh. This time of the year the reeds are so tall, you can hardly see the water.
The sun was so pretty shining through… what do you think?
I love the Hooded Merganser with its black head, large white patch and bright yellow eyes. It always seems like such a treat to see them in the winter. This guy was swimming around in Great Pond.
Gorgeous bird, don’t you think?
