The Queen Anne’s Lace wildflowers are blooming everywhere on Cape Cod. They are such a beautiful, delicate wildflower which reminds me of the doilies that my grandmother used to crochet for her tables.
Queen Anne’s Lace is made up of many tiny flowers that form a lacy flat-topped head. They grow from July through September, so you still have plenty of time to see them.

QUEEN ANNE’S LACE by Mary Leslie Newton
Queen Anne, Queen Anne, has washed her lace
(She chose a summer day)
And hung it in a grassy place
To whiten, if it may…
