The Beautiful Monarch Butterflies Are Back On Cape Cod!

The colorful, black and orange Monarch butterflies are back on Cape Cod. We’ve seen quite a few of them at Fort Hill feeding on the Milkweed.

Gorgeous butterfly, don’t you think? Have you seen a Monarch butterfly this summer?

  1. “Digitoxin
(sometimes referred to as digitoxin or digitalis)

This widely used heart medication is a cardiac glycoside used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, and congestive heart failure. Found in the lovely purple bells of the foxglove plant and the gorgeous, velvety black wings of the monarch butterfly, digoxin is probably the most beautiful medication there ever was.”

  2. The Monarch is such a beautiful butterfly. Coincidentally, our fiend just photographed one in Bar Harbor, Maine!!
I hope there will be many many more of them to come.
