I’ve seen raccoons in our yard many times, but it’s usually at dawn or dusk. This guy was searching under the bird feeders in the middle of the afternoon. (Click on blog link for other photos.)

I got a couple of photos but when he saw me he ran up into a nearby tree. We watched him climb to the very top and then jump branches to another tree. I had no idea they could do that!

He was pretty high up as the tree is probably 50+ feet tall.  He kept stopping to look at me as he climbed higher and higher.
