There is a new dune that has developed along the shore on Coast Guard Beach making it very hard to walk along the water at high tide. It seems to have a grown quite a bit taller in the past couple of weeks. You can see in the photograph that it’s about 4+ feet high. Have you walked down Coast Guard Beach lately?

Update 9/3/2025: The new dunes in this blog were all washed away when  Hurricane Erin passed by. The beach is pretty flat again…
