It’s Time To Get Your Eastern Screech Owl Nests Ready on Cape Cod!

“Eastern screech owls typically begin their nesting period by establishing territory and courting females in late winter or early spring  with egg-laying occurring from late February through March.” (Click on blog link for other photo.)

Last year we had a Screech Owl move in to our Owl House in late November. We had gotten it ready in the fall by cleaning it and putting several inches of wood shavings on the bottom.

Our Owl House is all cleaned out and ready and waiting for another Screech Owl to move in for the winter. Finger crossed…
