Yesterday morning we were so surprised when we went to Coast Guard Beach for a walk. As we started walking  toward the water, we came across a new dune that was about 4+ feet high. Yikes! (Click on blog link for other photo.)

How would we get down there near the water? We walked quite a ways down the beach toward the spit until we found a spot on the dune that was only about 3+ feet high. Wow!

This new dune runs the entire length of the beach and gets quite high in some places. It is so different than the time we were here last week.

In the 2nd photo, you can see someone trying to climb back up this new dune. It was pretty high!
I wonder what it will look like next week after the n’oreaster comes through.  Mother Nature is certainly amazing! Wow!
