It was low tide and there were so many different shore birds feeding on the flats at Boat Meadow Beach. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
It was such a treat to see this Black-bellied Plover which breeds on the Arctic tundra and winters on coastal areas like beaches and mudflats.
I found this range map of the Black-bellied Plovers and thought it was so interesting.

Such amazing g endurance in such a little being!
