Yesterday morning was pretty dreary and rain was forecast for the afternoon , so I thought I’d take a walk over to Boat Meadow Beach while it was still somewhat nice. There were a few cars and trucks in the parking lot, without drivers sitting in them, so I wondered what was going on.

What a surprise I got when I saw a new Osprey nest platform being put up by Boat Meadow Beach. Wow! It will be so much fun to be able to watch them from the beach while they build their nest and raise their young.

When I walked closer, I saw that “The Beard With Binoculars” team was just finishing up. I asked if they  would like a group photo for the Eastham Facebook Page. I posted it yesterday and have had a huge response.

Thank you to the whole team from all of us in Eastham. What a treat it will to be able to see these Osprey so close all summer long!
