Every time I walk to Boat Meadow Beach in the off-season when the leaves are off of the trees, I see these piles of broken clam shells scattered on the ground under the bushes and trees.  (Click on blog link for other photo.)

But, I’ve never seen a seagull, or any bird, or any animal anywhere near here. Obviously, someone must sit in the top of the tree and eat their cracked clams and drop the shells on the ground below. Can you see the pile in the leaves? It’s a pretty good size stash.  Has anyone else ever seen any “suspicious” activity in this area?
