There have been so many new renovations at Kent’s Point, it’s hard to count them all. The last time we were there we noticed these new steps leading up from the beach to the trail. What a great addition, as it’s always been a huge step to maneuver to get up there. Thanks to all who have helped with these wonderful renovations! You certainly are enhancing these trails!
“The Town acquired the Kent’s Point Conservation Area in 1988 after years of planning to preserve the property. The property was subject to a life-estate retained by the seller, Miss Charlotte Kent, who lived to be 100 years old. Her house was removed from the site after her death in 1997…
“This land contains more than a mile of undeveloped shoreline, and fronts on Lonnie’s Pond, Little Pleasant Bay and Frost Fish Creek…
“More than 30 great blue herons have been seen in the Frost Fish cove on a cold winter day.”
