This little Chickadee fledgling spent over an hour just sitting on one of our paver stones checking the world out. He was adorable. I sat down on the little step nearby and we just looked at each other and I clicked away. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I love the head-on photo of his staring at me. He stayed for quite a while and then flew away. Cute little guy, don’t you think?

The Chickadee by Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Then piped a tiny voice hard by,
Gay and polite, a cheeful cry,
“Chick-a-dee-dee!” saucy note
Out of a sound heart and merry throat…”
