Interesting Free-Form Sculptures At Nauset Light Beach On Cape Cod.

Someone has been busy at Nauset Light Beach. They have made 2 of these free-firm structures using only things found at the beach like driftwood and twine from the branches. Standing about 8′ tall, they are pretty cool looking. One is at the entrance to the beach by the trail and the other one is quite a ways down the beach toward Coast Guard Beach.

Have you seen them on the beach? Someone was being very creative!

Beautiful Greater Yellowlegs At Low Tide On Cape Cod Bay.

We saw our first Great Yellowlegs on the flats at Boat Meadow Beach the other day. Summer must be somewhere around the corner. It’s such a treat to see the shorebirds migrating back up north.

As you can see the Greater Yellowlegs is known for its distinctively long, bright yellow legs and yellow feet. Have you ever seen a Greater Yellowlegs?

Nauset Beach Is Always Spectacular On Cape Cod!

Nauset Beach, part of the National Seashore,  is one of the more popular beaches on Cape Cod. Its beaches go for miles… Nauset Spit to the north and to Chatham to the south.

I loved this photograph as you walk up the first path to the beach. So pretty, don’t you think?

You can see that they have been working hard over the winter to install this new fence to help with beach erosion.
