Iconic Cape Cod Beach Fence In Provincetown… Two Perspectives.

When you think of Cape Cod, many people think of the beautiful beaches and the iconic beach fences. I loved this one at Herring Cove Beach right after it had snowed. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

I took the same fence from two different perspectives. Which one do you like better?

The clouds look almost like a watercolor painting, don’t you think?

Northern Cardinals In Our Yard On Cape Cod.

The two Northern Cardinals, “Red and Birdie,” that live in our yard have been such a treat to watch all winter. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

They usually come one at a time to the feeder or bird bath and then go hang out together in the tree. Red looks very regal in the dark green evergreen tree while Birdie has just found some berries on the Juniper bush.

I love these birds. What do you think?

Still Lots Of Ice On Cape Cod Bay.

It’s hard to believe that last Saturday I took my first bike ride of the year… and in shorts! The past couple of days have been so snowy on the beach, its been hard to take a walk on the bay side, especially at high tide. There are so many “icebergs!”

I took this photograph at Boat Meadow Beach yesterday in the early afternoon. The sky was so pretty in contrast with the snow and the tide was moving pretty quickly out to sea.

Closed For The Season In Provincetown On Cape Cod.

“Closed For The Season” signs are in the windows of the ferries to Boston  from Provincetown Harbor. Pretty soon, when the weather warms up a bit, the ferries will be running again and the docks will be swarming with people.

I loved the clouds in the sky above these booths. So pretty, don’t you think?
