If you go to the Eastham boat ramp early in the morning and face east, you can see a beautiful sunrise over the fishing boats docked at Rock Harbor. I took this photograph on October 21st at 7:08 am.

Cooper’s Hawk Searching For Lunch In Our Yard On Cape Cod.

You can always tell when there is a hawk in our yard. The feeders are empty and you can’t hear a thing. And there, perched up in the tree, was a Cooper’s Hawk looking for his next meal.

Double-Crested Cormorants Are Loving This Little Shed On Cape Cod.

These Double-Crested Cormorants were certainly loving this little shed on the Salt Pond by the Eastham Visitors Center. I counted 16 there at one time, either in the water or sitting on top.

Perfect place for them to perch and dry their wings.

Marconi Beach Stairway After The Nor’easter On Cape Cod.

The stairway at Marconi Beach was looking pretty good after the powerful Nor’easter that visited Cape Cod last week. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

You could see that the sand had covered a few of the bottom steps but I’m sure that can be dug out. Overall, it looked really good and people were using it to get to the beach.
