It was a beautiful day to take a hike around Little Cliff Pond. It’s a wonderful hike of about 1.6 miles and with easy trail markings, you can just walk along and just enjoy being outside in nature.

Rock Harbor is always pretty, summer or winter, cloudy or sun, boats or no boats. I loved this photograph with the little bits of ice on the harbor. Not enough to slow the boats down but just enough to show you how chilly it was last week.
This Common Eider was preening and bathing and just having a grand old time swimming around at Rock Harbor. I watched it for quite a while. I got many photos of his various preening activities.
I like this one the best. Beautiful bird, don’t you think?
This is one of my favorite beach trails leading to Cape Cod Bay. So, when the snowflakes were falling the other day, I thought it might make a pretty photograph.
We had just been commenting that we have gotten very little snow here on Cape Cod this winter. There were a couple of inches in the beginning of December, and that’s it. But yesterday morning, with a forecast for sun, we had a few surprise snow squalls!
We took a ride to Rock Harbor and the snowy views were so pretty. What do you think? You can even see the snow clouds on the horizon.
