The blue handicapped-accessible mats are out at Nauset Beach and the beach is gorgeous! Just waiting for summer to begin…
I was out for an early hike at Fort Hill when I saw this White-tailed Deer on the boardwalk munching away. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
She looked at me and I told her it was a beautiful day to be on the trail. She just continued eating away as I walked by. She wasn’t bothered by me at all.
The colorful “window boxes” are such a clever and beautiful addition to the bridge on Bridge Road. A few were put up last summer, but it’s now grown to five and the flowers are so pretty! Someone even added a couple of hanging plants.
Thank you for making this into such a colorful and festive area. It brings a smile to my face every time I go by… as I’m sure it does you!
This little Red-bellied Woodpecker has been squawking away for the past few days. I think he is ready to fledge and keeps calling mom! (Click on blog link for other photos.)
He keeps peeking out of the little hole and is he noisy… and adorable!
As you can see, Mom does come by to feed him. What fun it has been having this little guy right in our back yard!
Garden Star-of- Bethlehem are beautiful white, star-shaped flowers with a green stripe on the outside of each petal, blooming in clusters on a stalk. They bloom in the late spring and early summer and are so pretty.
However, they are very toxic so it is recommended to keep children and pets away from them.
