I love the Red Maple Swamp Trail at Fort Hill which has a boardwalk where you walk over the bogs which are especially wet this time of the year. (Click on blog link for full photo.)
Pretty, don’t you think?
“First Encounter Beach is a place with historic significance in Eastham on Cape Cod. It was so named because it is the site of the first encounter between Native Americans and the Pilgrims prior to their settling in Plymouth. A tablet on the knoll at the north end of First Encounter Beach marks the location of this first encounter between the Pilgrims and the Native Americans on December 8, 1620.”
Pretty cool history, don’t you think?
Many mornings when it is still cold outside, I will look up high in the trees and see the Bluebirds perched up there trying to get the first warmth from the sun before it gets lower in the yard. It’s the only place where there is any sun at that hour and, lucky for me, the leaves haven’t come out yet so I can still see them!
Spring is coming…slowly! We’ve had a few warm days and a few chillier ones. But, the Daffodils are starting to bloom and bring some vibrant color to the landscape.
Wishing you all a Happy Easter! May the Easter Bunny bring you lots of chocolate and may you find a few minutes to get outside and enjoy everything outside!
