I was so surprised to see so many Semipalmated Plovers at Boat Meadow Beach the other day. I thought they had migrated weeks ago. There were quite a few of them looking for food on the flats at low tide. (Click on blog link or additional photo.)
When doing a little research, I learned that Semipalmated Plovers are abundant here on the Cape until well into November!
I took a ride over to Boat Meadow beach to see if there might a pretty sunset and this is what I saw. It was fiery red and just gorgeous! Low tide makes it even more interesting with all of the sandbars.
The weather has been warm and the bay water has been warm… perfect for paddleboarding. These people were certainly enjoying their time at Boat Meadow Beach.
It was the perfect summer day on Cape Cod. Temps were in the mid 70s with low humidity, there was a little breeze and the sun was shining brightly. It was a perfect day to bring your chair to the beach and just relax…
Love the vibrant colors…what do you think?
