What a crazy March we’ve had here on Cape Cod! We’ve had the coldest and snowiest days of the winter. I took this photograph at Boat Meadow Beach yesterday morning. Look at all of that snow on the beach and ice in the water.
It’s hard to believe that spring starts on Saturday. Our March here on Cape Cod has definitely come in like a lion and is still a lion… we’re are very ready for that lamb! Maybe by month’s end…?
River Road in Orleans has a dock and a launch ramp for residents of Orleans, in season. The rest of the year, anyone can use the ramp to launch their boats. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I really liked this winter scene of one of the private docks nearby. You can the 2 extra sections of the dock that will extend out over the water come summer. And then I pulled my camera back and, in the 2nd photograph, you can see the dinghy in the foreground. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. What do you think?
This was such a beautiful view of Big Pleasant Bay in Harwich on Cape Cod in the winter. Pretty soon it will be teeming with boats, both motorboats and sailboats, eager to get out on the water and enjoy the day!
Coast Guard Beach is one of our favorite walks on Cape Cod. It is just a gorgeous beach! This morning it was low tide and this lone lobster pot was sitting on a sand bar. Such a pretty photograph, don’t you think?
