I’ve seen so many of these beautiful Eastern Tiger Swallowtails flitting around in the woods and the meadows. This one finally landed right on the trail in front of me. (Click on blog link to see other photo.)
I took 2 photographs so you could see the difference between the upperside and the underside of it. Have you seen one this year yet?
I love my 6:00 am bike rides here on Cape Cod! There are so many different, spectacular routes, but of course, I do have my favorite! It’s such a beautiful time of the day… so pretty, not too hot and no one around. You can actually hear the birds along the way.
I love the Wild Virginia Roses growing all around the beach fences here on Cape Cod. They make it so summery and so pretty. (Click on blog link for full photo.)
I took this photograph looking north at Nauset Light Beach overlook. Just beautiful, don’t you think?
I love the little white Starflowers that bloom along the trails in the woods here on Cape Cod. They are a small flower, only growing 4-9 inches. They grow in May and June in the cool woods.
We were walking on the Nauset Marsh Trail around the Salt Pond when I saw this Osprey way up in the sky circling the pond. All of a sudden, he started hovering as if he was going to dive down for a fish, but he never did.
I liked this photograph of him hovering in mid-air. What do you think?
