The bright yellow Charlock Mustard wildflowers are growing all along the roadsides on Cape Cod. It is so nice to see some vibrant colors along the roads. It makes you think that spring is maybe here?
Happy May Day to you all! May you see a spring wildflower somewhere in your day.
We’ve had a lot of very windy days here on Cape Cod lately. I don’t remember ever seeing so many white caps on the bay side. I took this photograph from our car picnic. It was just gorgeous!
I’ve seen this female paddle boarder, who always takes her dog with her, paddling along the shore of Cape Cod Bay many times. Her dog sits quietly on the board, obviously enjoying the ride.
Last Saturday was a gorgeous day on Cape Cod with temperatures around 50 and bright, sunny skies. It was the perfect day for paddle boarding with your dog and a wet suit.
Beautiful background, don’t you think? I loved the turquoise blue colors of the water and the sky…
We used to see Dark-eyed Juncos all winter long when we lived in Colorado. They were everywhere. We have not many here on the Cape, maybe a couple a year. So it was a big treat to see them in our yard the other day. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
Dark-eyed Juncos are a medium-sized sparrow with dark eyes, a pink bill, white belly and dark centered-tail with white outer feathers.
I loved the stripes on its tail feathers from the back. Have you seen a Dark-eyed Junco this year?
