Yesterday morning was just spectacular at Fort Hill. You could see the sun trying to peek through the clouds forming these beautiful rays of sun. It almost looked celestial. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I thought it would be fun to edit it in a different way. What do you think?
Yesterday was the culmination of a foggy, soggy Christmas week here on Cape Cod. But Fort Hill was still beautiful despite the cloudy, wet weather. Pretty view, don’t you think? Love those clouds…
This beautiful Cardinal was splashing away in this little puddle in the middle of the trail at Fort Hill. He was so much fun to watch. He was loving it! (Click on blog link for other photos.)
And then came along a Yellow-Rumped Warbler who joined him and then a Sparrow. They were all having quite the bath!
You can see how small the puddle is by the 3rd photograph. Way too cute! We must have stood there for 5-10 minutes watching them all.
Yesterday was a beautiful day for a hike at Fort Hill. The skies were sunny and the temperature was almost 50 degrees. (Click on blog link for other photo that shows him way high up!)
As we were heading back to the parking lot from our hike, I spotted a Red-Tailed Hawk way up high on the telephone pole. Wow! He was way up there! We stopped and clicked away while he stayed there for quite a while. Beautiful bird, don’t you think?
