You never know what you will see on the trails on Cape Cod. This flock of wild turkeys was meandering through the woods.
Have you ever seen wild turkeys out on the trails where you hike?
We were hiking at Nickerson State Park when I noticed something blue at the top of one of the dead trees in the middle of the trail. At first I thought it was a blue trail marker, but what would it be doing way up there? (Click on blog link for other photo.)
As I got closer and hiked by it, I realized when I turned around that it was a hand-painted seashell that said, “Stay Safe.” It was meant to be seen by hikers going in the opposite direction.
What a wonderful, little thoughtful message that someone placed there for everyone to see. Thank you to whomever put it there. I’m sure it will bring a smile to many people’s faces.
Stay safe!
