The slips at Rock Harbor in Orleans on Cape Cod area getting filled up quickly.  This was such a pretty day and the clouds were spectacular. Rock Harbor is a popular spot to dock your boat on Cape Cod… or to just come and watch the boats go in and out. You can even sit on the beach and enjoy the beauty of Cape Cod Bay.

Finally Got My New Bike Here On Cape Cod And I Love It!

bikemelblog

I finally got my new bike here on Cape Cod and I am ecstatic! There are so many new places to ride to and explore  and the Cape Cod Bike Trail, which is right near my home,  goes for 40 miles. Each day I try to take a different route which has been so much fun!

I used to love to ride when we lived in Connecticut, but when we moved to Colorado it was so mountainous and the shoulder on the roads was tiny that I never got into biking out there. I really missed it.

So, this is such a big treat! I love it! I am having a blast!

A Welcoming Pilgrim in Provincetown On Cape Cod

pilgtimblog

As you drive into Provincetown on Cape Cod, you are greeted by a pilgrim who rings his bell and welcomes everyone in sight. It’s really pretty cool.

Phil and I had met this Pilgrim last fall at one of the joint Chamber of Commerce get-togethers so it was fun to see him and chat with him again.

He loves posing for photographs in his quaint, historic town on Cape Cod.

Provincetown On Cape Cod Is Such A Fun Place To Visit!

melbuoybenchblog

We have had a blast visiting Provincetown on Cape Cod the past couple of weeks. There is so much to do and so much to see. Provincetown is noted for its excellent art galleries and excellent restaurants.

At the entrance to one of the docks where many artists have little shacks to display their work, there is a bench surrounded by colorful buoys.

What a perfect photo-op, don’t you think?

Swimming At Boat Meadow In Eastham on Cape Cod Yesterday!

It was a glorious day here on Cape Cod! The temps were about 74 degrees with lots of fun and a little breeze. Phil suggested that we go to the beach for a picnic. I never say no to a picnic! Fun!

Then he started putting his bathing suit on and I couldn’t figure out why, so I put mine on too. Guess we could get a little sun. We had not been to the beach in the summer months in 10 years!

Well, it was more than gorgeous so we sauntered down to the water’s edge. The water was warm! I couldn’t believe it. So in we went. I swam around for some time. It felt like July. Unbelievable.

So, I just had to post this photograph of me swimming at Boat Meadow yesterday. What a treat! I don’t think I have ever been swimming in May!
