It seems like wherever you turn, you can see birds on Nauset Marsh on Cape Cod. This particular morning it was low tide and we could see the birds feeding along the shore. I loved their silhouettes.

Sharks in the Park combines public art with the business community to create a unique Chatham experience. Sponsored by the Chatham Merchants Association.
Local businesses sponsor shark sculptures that are located in Kate Gould Park. The businesses recruit local artists to paint special scenes on their shark and then the sculpture are on display in the park. What a unique idea and so much fun for the entire family!

Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on Cape Cod is one of my favorite places to visit. Every day is different with something new to see.
Wellfleet Bay provides peace and unmatched beauty on the hillsides and shoreline overlooking Wellfleet Harbor. Extensive trails bring you to a panoramic salt marsh, sandy barrier beach, and pine woodlands, each attracting a wide array of wildlife. The sanctuary features a universally accessible trail and an award-winning “green” nature center with numerous exhibits and aquariums.
The hike out to the beaches is spectacular. Don’t forget your binoculars as there is so much to see. I’m sure you will see lots of photographs of this magic place in my future Blogs.
Doane Rock In Eastham, Massachusetts on Cape Cod

Doane Rock is a glacial rock located in Eastham, MA in Cape Cod National Seashore. It is the largest exposed boulder on Cape Cod. It stands 18 feet high and extends below the ground an estimated 12 feet.
This boulder is named after Deacon John Doane, one of Eastham’s original settlers. The rock was left by the glaciers (18,000-12,000 years ago) between the Salt Pond Visitors Center and Coast Guard Beach.
There are also lots of great picnic tables to enjoy that delicious outdoor lunch! This is one of my favorite picnic locations on Cape Cod, right next to Doane Rock.
