I always love this view as you come over the crest and look down toward the old entrance to Nauset Beach. It’s even pretty in winter with all the snow… but the anticipation you feel in the summer will just have to wait a few more months!

Yesterday At The Fort Hill Overlook On Cape Cod.
453 viewsWe only stopped at Fort Hill for a few minutes yesterday morning, and it was worth it! Looking out over Nauset Marsh was just spectacular!
There is still quite a bit of snow on the trails, but you can see the grass poking through where the sun has warmed it. I wonder what it will look like tomorrow after this next storm?!
Just for fun, I edited it with a more dramatic look. What do you think?

396 viewsWe were watching all the birds in our yard inhaling the bird seed just as quickly as we put it out in the feeders. They sure are hungry in the snow and cold. (Click on blog link for other photos.)
There was this squirrel scavenging under the feeders looking for anything to eat but not finding much, or it was just too picky and didn’t like our selection.

All of a sudden he started digging a hole in the snow… deeper and deeper and deeper. He must have dug down at least a foot with his head periodically popping up. And then, he came up with an acorn! “I knew I remembered where I hid all of those acorns last fall.”
Blog dedicated to Liz, a lover of squirrels.
