Yesterday At The Fort Hill Overlook On Cape Cod.

We only stopped at Fort Hill for a few minutes yesterday morning, and it was worth it! Looking out over Nauset Marsh was just spectacular!
There is still quite a bit of snow on the trails, but you can see the grass poking through where the sun has warmed it. I wonder what it will look like tomorrow after this next storm?!

Just for fun, I edited it with a more dramatic look. What do you think?

Lots Of Snow At Wiley Park On Cape Cod.

We went snowshoeing at Wiley Park the other day and there’s still a lot of snow! It was fun to snowshoe on the trails and up and over the bridge. With the forecast for temps in the 20s and for more snow, I think the snow will be there for quite a while.

I Thought I Knew Where I Hid It On Cape Cod.

We were watching all the birds in our yard inhaling the bird seed just as quickly as we put it out in the feeders. They sure are hungry in the snow and cold. (Click on blog link for other photos.)

There was this squirrel scavenging under the feeders looking for anything to eat but not finding much, or it was just too picky and didn’t like our selection.

All of a sudden he started digging a hole in the snow… deeper and deeper and deeper. He must have dug down at least a foot with his head periodically popping up. And then, he came up with an acorn! “I knew I remembered where I hid all of those acorns last fall.”

Blog dedicated to Liz, a lover of squirrels.
