This was one huge Spider Crab at Coast Guard Beach in Eastham on Cape Cod. It must have been at least 10 inches. I haven’t seen too many of these crabs here on Cape Cod and never one this big!
I was taking a walk, camera in hand, looking for a good photo op near the Salt Marsh at Boat Meadow. When, all of a sudden, a Great Blue Heron flew in right by the side of the river. I’ve seen him there a couple of times in the past few days. I wonder if this is where he’ll spend his winter.
These birds were hilarious on the roof of the Bird Watcher’s General Store in Orleans on Cape Cod. There were dozens of them that would line up on the roof and look down… waiting for their turn to get to that full bird feeder! And they went… one at a time!
It was so much fun to watch!
