Yesterday was a beautiful day for a hike at Fort Hill. The skies were sunny and the temperature was almost 50 degrees. (Click on blog link for other photo that shows him way high up!)
As we were heading back to the parking lot from our hike, I spotted a Red-Tailed Hawk way up high on the telephone pole. Wow! He was way up there! We stopped and clicked away while he stayed there for quite a while. Beautiful bird, don’t you think?
The fall colors are still beautiful on the trails at Wiley Park. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
Wiley Park is a great place to hike for the whole family. The trails are wide and and there is always something new to see. Have you ever hiked at Wiley Park?
I have walked by this little pond on the Nauset Marsh Trail hundreds of times and rarely stop to admire the view here. This reflection on the pond was so pretty with the clouds… wow!
You never know what kind of views you might see when hiking at Kent’s Point. This reflection of the dock with the colorful trees in the background was just spectacular!
When you take the Great Island Trail in Wellfleet, you can either go in toward the woods to the Tavern and then out to Jeremy Point or you can hike over the trails in the dunes and go straight to the beach. (Click on blog link for more photos.)
Either hike is just spectacular! You can see the expansiveness of the beach in the first photograph. In the 2nd and 3rd photos you can see the trails over the dunes that you can take to get to the beach.
Whatever you choose on this trail is a win/win for you! It is all breath-taking!
