One-Of-A-Kind Keepsake Handmade Advent Calendar.

When my 3 granddaughters were very young, I decided to make them an Advent Calendar like I had made my own kids when they were little. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

It was so much fun creating and making all of the little ornaments to hang on the tree. Each one has a special meaning to the girls and they look so forward to taking turns putting the ornaments on the tree each day during December.

On December 1st, I always get an email from my daughter with the photograph of the empty Advent Calendar which says, “We’re ready!” And then on December 24th, the girls get to put the last ornament on the tree and they know that Christmas is tomorrow!

(I like to post this every year or two in case someone is looking for a keepsake to make for their children or grandchildren. It’s a great project and something they will always have… especially if you feel creative during the cold winter months!)

Handmade Advent Calendar For My Three Granddaughters

adventcalendarccblog

I had to resurrect this photograph of an Advent Calendar that I made for my 3 granddaughters a few years ago.

I had such fun creating and planning all of the little ornaments, each one having its own meaning to the girls. And they look forward to putting their ornaments on the tree day by day during the month of December.

I love it because it is timeless… and a treasure for them to look forward to year after year.

Mery Christmas to you all!
