This couple was obviously enjoying their spectacular view at Coast Guard Beach, but how long will they be able to stay there? The tides were coming in pretty fast.
We took a walk down the beach for about 1/2 hour and by the time we got back, they had to move way back… or they would have been in the water. The tides have been very high because of Hurricane Erin and many of the beaches have had to close at high tide because there is no place for people to sit. The water is all the way up to the dunes.

We took a ride to Coast Guard Beach yesterday afternoon just to see the beach and waves. They’re getting pretty big. I love windy days on the beach. Just gorgeous! (Click on blog link for other photo.)

The 2nd photo is also from yesterday afternoon at the overlook at Nauset Light Beach. Again… just beautiful. It never gets old!

The winds were blowing yesterday and the ocean was churning and the “No Swimming” flag was up at Coast Guard Beach. There were a few people on the beach but it was pretty windy. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

Hurricane Erin , although well off-shore, is supposed to impact the wind, waves and tides this week. It looks like it has already started…
