It was a gorgeous day to walk to the beach on Saturday with the sun shining and the skies gorgeous. I walked over the salt marsh and took 2 photographs. They couldn’t be more different. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
What do you think? The tide was so high… it must be that time of the year again!
This was such a pretty scene looking out over the salt marsh toward Cape Cod Bay with the wispy clouds in the sky. They almost look like anĀ angel. No matter which way you look, there is always something new to see over the salt marsh.
The sunrises over the salt marshes on Cape Cod are so different each day. This one was gorgeous with all the clouds in the sky and the streaks of sun shining through.
The little purple and pinkish Beach Pea wildflowers are blooming all over the Cape. I’ve seen at them at Fort Hill and at most of the beaches.
The Beach Pea is a vine-like plant with many irregularly shaped 1″ flowers suspended above the plant. They bloom in June and July along the dunes and salt marshes, so you have plenty of time to see them!
Interesting fact: They got their name because their fruit resembles a garden pea. So pretty, don’t you think?
