Mockingbirds love to hang out on the hiking trails at Fort Hill on Cape Cod. They got their name because they love to “mock” or make sounds like the other birds. They are pretty cool.
As you first enter the trail off the lower parking lot, you can see many Mockingbirds in the bushes and trees to the left.

A mockingbird used to perch on the peak of my neighbor’s roof and sing a medley of bird-dom’s greatest hits – around dawn! In the summer! When my windows were open!
