It seems like there is always a fishing boat docked at MacMillan Pier. The Yankee Rose was just beautiful on the dock with that gorgeous sky and They Faced The Sea mural in the background. You never know what you’ll see at the Pier, but it’s always pretty unique!
I posted this 2 years ago on my blog. Yesterday I heard that the Yankee Rose had overturned and sunk off of Provincetown killing the 2 people on board. How sad… our hearts go out to the fishing community on Cape Cod.
I love this bench with all the colorful buoys as you drive on Macmillan Pier. I wonder how many people have sat there, thinking it was the perfect “photo op” while in Provincetown? I know I’ve taken a few photos there of guests and friends. It definitely is an icon and classic P’Town!
The fishing boats are always ready at MacMillan Pier, no matter what the season or what the time of day. These two blue fishing boats were docked near to each other and made such an icon P’Town photo!
I love driving out on MacMillan Pier and seeing all there is to see… and, I love the drive back looking toward Commercial Street and the library and all of the boats. This was such a pretty day. Look at those puffy little clouds…they look like mini-cotton balls!
It was a beautiful morning to be in Provincetown, especially out on MacMillan Pier. This was such a pretty view looking back toward Commercial Street and Pilgrim Monument. Love those vivid colors…
