The CG36500 is back at Rock Harbor and ready for people to see. It has quite the story of rescue:

“The CG 36500 is a historic 36-foot U.S. Coast Guard motor lifeboat famous for its role in the 1952 rescue of the SS Pendleton crew, is a story detailed in The Finest Hours. Built in 1946, this rugged, self-righting wooden vessel is known for its heavy construction, including a bronze keel, designed to withstand severe conditions, and is now a restored, operational museum boat maintained by the Orleans Historical Society in Massachusetts.”

I loved how the rising sun shone on the historic CG36500 the other morning. So pretty!

This was such a beautiful morning at Rock Harbor. The sun was just starting to come up and the reflection on the water and the deck of the CG36500 was so pretty!

It’s so nice to see the CG36500 back in the water at Rock Harbor, after much “sprucing up” in Chatham in the past few weeks.
