I frequently see Swans on the Salt Pond by the Visitors Center but I rarely see them swimming on Nauset Marsh. They were just beautiful as I took a photograph of them through the opening of the trees at Fort Hill.

Last year, as we were ending a walk along a marsh in Massachusetts, we heard a commotion. When we turned around, we realized it was the sound of swans beating their wings as they took off from the marsh. It was amazing.
