We took a drive to Hemenway Landing and took a few photos. Then we each edited them in different way and I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
It’s been a long and cold winter here on Cape Cod. You can see the fishing boats are all frozen in place at Rock Harbor. Even all of the construction has come to a standstill with all of the snow and ice. And now another huge storm is coming…
We were driving home from the gym yesterday morning when the skies lit up into these gorgeous sunrise colors. We quickly took a little detour by Hemenway Landing and it was spectacular! Did you get to see sunrise yesterday?
You don’t have to go very far to see some gorgeous views on Cape Cod! This is one of my favorite’s, especially in the winter when it is so peaceful and serene…. and winter is upon us.
For a few moments yesterday morning, the views at Rock Harbor were just breathtaking-taking! Oh my! We were on our way home from The Hot Chocolate Sparrow when the sun peeked out for a minute but the skies over Cape Cod Bay at were dark and ominous!
And then the snow squalls hit… yikes! We just happened to be there at just the right time.
The fishing boats are always ready at MacMillan Pier, no matter what the season or what the time of day. These two blue fishing boats were docked near to each other and made such an icon P’Town photo!
With the temperatures getting colder and the days so much shorter, you can feel winter settling in on Nauset Marsh. I loved this view from Hemenway Landing of Coast Guard Station across the marsh and the fishing boat… waiting.
