The Chatham Bars Inn, one of our annual outings at this time of the year, always has beautiful Christmas decorations. (Click on blog link to see other photos.)The fireplace looks enticing for relaxing with a good book or a cup of hot cocoa.
Their Christmas trees are so pretty with their coastal themes and they always have a real gingerbread house for the children to admire.
Awesome life-size gingerbread house! What do you think?
We woke up to a dusting of snow the other day with still a few flakes in the air. I looked out at the bird feeders and there were 2 Northern Flickers, one at the suet feeder and the other one patiently waiting nearby. (Click on blog link to see other photo.)
This beautiful old Eastham fire engine is again displayed outside the firehouse with its festive holiday lights. It looks so pretty as you drive down Route 6.
I love it when my son comes to visit from California for the holidays. It’s so much fun trying to fit everything in that you want to do. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
One of our annual outings is a long walk, or several long walks, on the beach. However when we got up yesterday the forecast was for temps in the low 20s with 35-45 mph winds. Not a good day for a walk on the beach.
So, we braved the cold and the wind for about 5 minutes and ran down to the beach to get a selfie on Nauset Beach. Such a pretty day… but oh, so cold! Look at that wind chill! Brrrr.
