Hiking Wiley Park On Cape Cod After The Blizzard

We had to pick and choose our trails at Wiley Park this week with all of the downed trees. Many of them were blocking the trail. The winds were in excess of 65mph and many of the huge old Eastern White Pine trees fell.

Phil took this photograph of me hiking on one of the trails that we could maneuver at Wiley Park. The snow was so pretty…

Gorgeous Trail To Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod

It was another beautiful day for a hike to Coast Guard Beach  on the National Seashore on Cape Cod. The clouds were unbelievable! With the Coast Guard Station in the background and Nauset Marsh, it doesn’t get much prettier!

Phil and I took the same photograph… same place, same time., different perspective. What do you think?

Black And White Photograph Of The Boardwalk At Fort Hill On Cape Cod

We took  this black and white photograph of the boardwalk on Red Maple Swamp Trail the same time we took the photograph of the Fort Hill Trail yesterday.

It’s really cool how you walk on the boardwalk over the swamp on the trail. This time of year it is pretty wet and definitely swampy!

It’s another cool hike at Fort Hill! Kids love it!

Pretty Day For A Hike At Fort Hill On Cape Cod

It was a beautiful day to be out for a hike at Fort Hill, on the National Seashore on Cape Cod. The lighting was so pretty.

We decided to explore the Red Maple Swamp Trail, which has been partly closed for years. We ran into some National Park workers and they said that it should be open again. by summer. That will be awesome because you can do a loop through the woods, across the boardwalk and then back up to the meadows. It is really pretty!

Have you ever been to Fort Hill?

Gorgeous Day To Hike The Salt Pond On The National Seashore On Cape Cod

It was a spectacular day to hike the Salt Pond Trail in Eastham on Cape Cod.  The skies were just beautiful and the colors amazing. We took a little detour through the woods to Doane Rock which is also very pretty.

Gorgeous colors, don’t you think?
