We hadn’t been to the Orleans Yacht Club since early spring so we were surprised to see this new dock filled with boats. The sailing must be good on Town Cove.
I loved this photograph as it was a stormy day and the clouds were black and thick. What do you think?
I’ve seen many of these Prickly Pear Cactus flowers in the sand along the sides of the road here on Cape Cod. There are a couple of Prickly Pear Cactus plants on the road to Boat Meadow Beach.
They bloom from June through August in sandy soil and dunes and are so pretty and delicate. They are native and on the “Massachusetts List of Endangered, Threatened and Special Concern Species.”
We were so surprised when we saw this huge 3-masted schooner in the waters near Pleasant Bay. It was quite impressive as you can see from the photograph. We heard that it was rescued from one of the islands in the Caribbean after a monstrous hurricane and then restored. Beautiful, don’t you think?
