Boat Meadow Salt Marsh On Cape Cod At High Tide

We were so surprised to see how high the tide was on the salt marsh by Boat Meadow Beach yesterday. It almost looked as if the river through the marsh was so frozen that the waters from high tide went up on the marsh. It looked like the ocean just came ashore.

It’s been really frigid here the past week. Yesterday was only in the low teens with a wind chill below zero. Brrr…

Gorgeous Sunset On Cape Cod Bay

It was another gorgeous sunset on Cape Cod Bay. They are so pretty this time of the year, so I took a ride down to Boat Meadow Beach and clicked away.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday and a very Merry Christmas! May you see many gorgeous sunsets in the days and weeks to come!

I took one close-up and one at a distance and then I couldn’t decide which one I liked better, so I posted them both. What do you think?

Boat Meadow Salt Marsh On Cape Cod In The Fall

When walking to the beach, I cross the Boat Meadow Salt Marsh where you can see Cape Cod Bay on one side and the salt marsh on the other side. It is always spectacular and takes your breath away, no matter the season or weather. Mother Nature has done a fine job.

This photograph is looking at the salt marsh with the Cape Cod Rail Trail way in the  background. I think it is so pretty. What do you think?

Semi-Palmated Plovers On The Flats On Cape Cod

I was taking a walk out on the flats at low tide near Boat Meadow when I saw something out of the corner of my eye. There were two birds scurrying around the mud, looking for food.

I clicked away and realized when I got home that they were Semipalmated Plovers. They blend in pretty well on the mud flats and the water, don’t you think?

Gorgeous Day For A Bike Ride On Cape Cod!

Yesterday was a glorious day,  sunny and in the lower 70s… a perfect day for a bike ride! I took off to Boat Meadow Beach which is where I took this photograph. It was high tide and there were  people sitting on the beach and one little boy was swimming. The clouds were spectacular!

Then I biked over to Rock Harbor which is another beautiful place to visit any time of the year. Then on to the Cape Cod Rail Trail over the salt marshes and home. Who ever thought I could bike in shorts and a t-shirt at the end of October?  I wasn’t going to miss this gorgeous day!
