Beautiful Little Copper Butterfly On Cape Cod.

The butterflies are starting to migrate back to Cape Cod this time of the year. It’s so much fun to see a couple of new ones each day. This Little Copper Butterfly was feasting on the flowers at Fort Hill. (Click on blog link for other photo.)

The Little Copper butterfly is a small butterfly with a wing span of only about 1″. Its fiery tones are just gorgeous among the white flowers. You can see the difference in coloring in the 2nd photograph when its wings are folded up.

Beautiful little butterfly, don’t you think?

Pretty Pink Lady Slipper On Cape Cod.

I  knew it was that time of the year when the pink Lady Slippers bloom, so I was on the lookout on the Beech Forest Trail in Provincetown. It was the perfect place for them to grow. And then there it was… on the side of the trail.

So pretty, don’t you think? Have you seen a Lady Slipper this year?

Black And White Or Color Cape Cod Photograph?

Phil and I were taking a hike at Fort Hill and both photographed the same tree. When we got home we shared what we had taken. Wow! What a difference! (Click on blog link for other photo.)

Black and white or color? Which one do you like better?

Love This Rock At Fort Hill On Cape Cod!

I have walked by this rock at Fort Hill thousands of times but have never taken a photograph of it from this perspective. I thought it was so pretty looking out onto Nauset Marsh. It is actually a very large rock, well over 6 feet tall.

What do you think? Love the wispy clouds in the sky!
