Coast Guard Beach On The National Seashore During The Storm Last Weekend

Coast Guard Beach was hammered last weekend during the huge storm. I took a run down to the beach to see what it looked like, but couldn’t get to the beach because the water was so high. This is as far as I got along the trail. The ocean was raging!

The 2nd photograph shows the boardwalk on Nauset Marsh that we walk on to get from Coast Guard Beach to Doane Rock underwater. That is unbelievable! I have never seen the water this high!

When the Sun Comes Out, Go To Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod!

Yesterday morning was spectacular! It was sunny and warm and we knew that it was supposed to rain in the afternoon and all day Sunday. So, the perfect solution… go to the beach while you can! We’ve had a lot of cloudy, rainy days lately.

As you can see, it was glorious! Our “Go To” beach is usually Coast Guard Beach, part of the National Seashore, and rated one of the Top 10 beaches in the USA! And it’s only a 5 minute drive from our home, so it doesn’t get much better!

We walked down to Nauset Spit, where the ocean flows into Nauset Marsh. It was warm, in the 50s, and so pretty. The clouds were amazing.  I love the dark blue hue around the clouds.

What do you think?

Windy Winter Day At Coast Guard Beach, Part Of The National Seashore, On Cape Cod

I love windy days at the beach here on Cape Cod, especially on Coast Guard Beach, part of the National Seashore. You can see the spume blowing from the waves in the wind, and the lone log washed up on  the shore.

So pretty, don’t you thinK?

Happy Valentine’s Day To You All From The Shores Of Cape Cod!

I had so much fun trying to make this Valentine in the sand, as the waves rolled in and out and I ran back and forth, dodging them! Ha!

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s Day from Coast Guard Beach on Cape Cod, voted one of the Top Ten Beaches in the USA by National Geographic!

Glorious Day At Coast Guard Beach On Cape Cod

It was 22 degrees with a little breeze yesterday but I had this yearning to take a walk on the beach. I put on my fleece vest, my Gortex jacket and Windstopper hat and mittens. I was ready for whatever weather greeted me.

It was glorious! And I was the only one n the beach! I walked all the way to Nauset Spit, loving the fact that there were no footprints in front of me. How cool!

I thought this was a fun photograph with my shadow in the corner. I love this time of the year on the beach! Pinch me!
