The Red-bellied Woodpecker is back in our yard here on Cape Cod! We’ve heard his call a lot lately, but haven’t seen him in a while.
I love watching him go up and down the tree, searching for insects, or on our suet holder. He is such a beautiful bird!
Have you ever seen a Red-bellied Woodpecker? Funny how he has red on his head, not on his belly!
Nauset Beach in Orleans on Cape Cod is all boarded up for the winter. Of course, the beach is always open and always gorgeous.
I thought this looked like and old-time photograph of the truck and the lifeguard stand in front of the facilities building.
Pretty cool, don’t you think?
The Christmas decorations at the Chatham Bars Inn on Cape Cod are just spectacular! This lifesize Gingerbread House is amazing! i could tell it was real because of the smell of the gingerbread cookies!
There is also a model train exhibit complete with gingerbread houses and stations, etc.
Very cool, don’t you think?
The holiday model train is awesome once again at Snows in Orleans on Cape Cod. Snows creates beautiful train exhibits for everyone to enjoy.
This time of year, it is the holiday train that is so special and so much fun for the whole family to see.
Snows always has model trains set up year round which the kids (and adults!) love! Come on by, I’m sure it will be up for a while.
This is our first Christmas tree in our new home here on Cape Cod. It is so pretty as it reflects in the glass doors in the background.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Happy Holiday! May this year bring you many fun excursions outside into nature!
