We love hiking at Kent’s Point in Orleans. The trails through the woods and along the beach are always just beautiful. I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago when the sailboat was still in the water and the green leaves were still on the trees. So pretty, don’t you think?
The views from Kent Point in Orleans are so different depending on where you are on the trail. I loved this view from the back of Kent Point looking out on the river toward Meeting House Pond.
The little boathouse and two sailboats… so pretty.
Kent Point is a dog-friendly park that has some great trails, and some friendly dogs! I love this trail along the water looking out toward Little Pleasant Bay and then down the river. There is always so much to see.
You never know what you will see when you’re at Kent Point in Orleans. Today we were treated to this gorgeous Great Blue Heron fishing among the tall grass by the bay. (Click on blog link for other photos.)
As it flew away, Phil and I each got one photograph of it flying… his is solo in the sky where mine is with the sailboat in the background.
I always love the hike at Kent Point as there is so much to see. Unlike in the summer when there are boats everywhere, the views in the winter are still spectacular. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I love this stretch of beach along the bay. Have you ever hiked Kent Point?
