Yesterday was one of those Top 10 days here on Cape Cod! The sky and the clouds were unbelievable all day long. We took a nice hike on Nauset Marsh Trail from the visitors center and out along the salt marsh. The falls colors were as vibrant as I’ve ever seen them.
I didn’t even notice the sun behind the clouds until I loaded my photographs on my computer. Pretty amazing, don’t you think?
I love Nauset Marsh Trail which winds around the Salt Pond by the Visitors Center in Eastham and out to Nauset Marsh. It is so different each time you hike it. It is particularly pretty this time of year with its fall colors and late-flowering bushes.
It was a gorgeous day at Hemenway Landing by Fort Hill on Cape Cod! The sky was brilliant against the many multi-colored boats on shore, waiting to be taken out on Nauset Marsh.
So medicinal and relaxing… summer is definitely here.
It must be that time of the year for the Lilies of the Valley to bloom. They are so beautiful. We’ve seen so many of them on our last few hikes. They are such a delicate little flower with such a pretty bell-shape.
I took the first photograph on the Doane Rock Trail heading out to Coast Guard Beach and the 2nd photograph on the Nauset Marsh Trail before you get to the overlook of Nauset Marsh. The 2nd one looks like a whole garden of Lilies of the Valley.
So pretty, don’t you think?
