It’s hard to believe that last Saturday I took my first bike ride of the year… and in shorts! The past couple of days have been so snowy on the beach, its been hard to take a walk on the bay side, especially at high tide. There are so many “icebergs!”
I took this photograph at Boat Meadow Beach yesterday in the early afternoon. The sky was so pretty in contrast with the snow and the tide was moving pretty quickly out to sea.
“Closed For The Season” signs are in the windows of the ferries to Boston from Provincetown Harbor. Pretty soon, when the weather warms up a bit, the ferries will be running again and the docks will be swarming with people.
I loved the clouds in the sky above these booths. So pretty, don’t you think?
It was a beautiful, frigid day for a snowy walk along the beach on Cape Cod Bay. The sun, shining behind the clouds, was so pretty in the sky. You can even see the rock from Rock Harbor in the distance. It looks so small.
I was taking a walk down Coast Guard Beach toward Nauset Spit the other day when I saw this couple walking along, holding hands. I thought how wonderful it seemed… a walk on this spectacular beach with a special person!
Wiley Park is one of my favorite places to hike. The trails meander through the woods and along the shore of Great Pond. There are several places that look out onto Great Pond or a smaller adjacent pond. (Click on blog link for other photo.)
I really like the colors in this photograph where you can still see the ice on Great Pond, even though it’s been so warm. I couldn’t decide if I like it better as a horizontal or a vertical. What do you think?
